Founder Andre McCain unveiled the new Weekend Brunch menu at HalfSmoke, located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C. at 651 Florida Avenue, NW, 20001. Fans of the popular U-Street gathering place can now look forward to an expanded menu that focuses on playful takes of brunch classics, cereals, and breakfast sides. Weekend Brunch will debut on Friday, November 24 and will be available from 11 AM to 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 AM to 11 PM on Sunday. To help kickoff this new offering, HalfSmoke will offer complimentary bottomless mimosas to brunch-goers who order off the new menu exclusively on Black Friday.
Guests can look forward to signature brunch dishes such as Butter Toasted IPA Brioche Bread with cheddar, pepper jack and mozzarella cheese; Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast with bourbon syrup; Butterfinger-Crusted Banana Pancakes with jelly; HalfSmoke Sausage Scramble with eggs, cheese, mushrooms and onions; Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breast Strips with red velvet funnel cake; Eggs Benedict with lamb sausages, topped with pesto, and the Classic D.C. Steak-n-Cheese with peppers and onions, topped with a poached egg. Guests can also indulge in childhood breakfast classics such as Fruity Pebbles; Honey Nut Cheerios; Frosted Flakes, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Sides include Sausage, Bacon, Home Fries and Two Eggs. Brunch menu items range in price from $3 to $14.
One can also enjoy boozy brunch cocktails at HalfSmoke such as Bottomless Mimosas made with Champagne, orange juice, triple sec, and orange bitters, priced at $15, Frozen Rosé or Frozen Margaritas, organic craft slushies topped with an all-natural fruit popsicle, priced at $10 each, HalfSmoke Signature Bloody Mary made with Tito’s premium vodka, tomato juice, horseradish, smoked paprika, and Tabasco sauce, priced at $8, or The Breakfast of Shaw, HalfSmoke’s signature bloody Mary topped sky high with tater tots, French fries, mac-n-cheese bites, corn dogs, HalfSmoke sliders, grilled chicken wings, and celery, priced at $20 each.
HalfSmoke’s full menu is also available including the build your own option with a choice of sausage, toppings presented on a base of mixed greens, wild rice, flatbread or toasted bun for $9, along with the restaurant’s signature $10 super shakes and craft cocktails priced at $9.
