Unified Brands, a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment, has released its new Randell 8148D dual-rail preparation table that provides twice as much topping pan capacity as a traditional-style prep table. Unified Brands demonstrated the new food preparation solution last month at the 2017 National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) show in Chicago.

“Flexibility is always a top priority for operators, especially when space is at a premium,” says Art Delorenzo, Senior Product Line Director – Refrigeration for Unified Brands. “Our new preparation table delivers all the high-performance features customers demand — all in a versatile footprint that’s manageable in kitchens and prep areas of all sizes.”

Available in 48″ and 72″ models, the 8148D preparation table offers several benefits:

Easier multitasking: Operators can simultaneously manage separate programs such as sandwich or pizza ingredients on the top rail and vegetarian or salads on the bottom rail.

More functionality in less space: Doubling the topping pan capacity of a traditional prep table gives kitchens the ability to maximize their left-to-right footprint.

Lower labor and maintenance costs: Each rail is outfitted with an oversized drain allowing for easy and convenient cleaning after the last shift. Press-fit gaskets make gasket maintenance easy with no tools required.

Reduced energy costs: The 8148D separates both rails and the base to assure proper temperatures in all three zones. This allows the rails to be shut off independently to maximize energy savings overnight while storing the food product in the base of the unit or your walk-in.
