Ranked by critics as one of the best steakhouses in the U.S., Red, the Steakhouse is now open in Pittsburgh. Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh in the landmark U.S. Steel Tower (600 Grant Street), the restaurant is bringing its careful and refined approach to food to the Pittsburgh dining scene.

Red has been praised by famed chef and TV host Michael Symon in Food Network magazine as serving “a perfect, delicious, prime, dry-aged piece of meat,” and heralded as “One of the five great steakhouses to visit in the United States” by Esquire, “Prime in every way” by USA Today, and #8 of “America’s 50 Best Steakhouses” by The Daily Meal.

“Pittsburgh’s notable cultural scene and growing national reputation as a food town makes it an ideal place for us to bring our innovative methodology,” says Jonathan Gross, Red Restaurant Group president and CFO. “We’re excited to share with Pittsburgh diners our passion for award-winning flavor combinations that will inspire and impress every palate.”

“Red’s approach to food is simple yet sophisticated,” says Gross. “We accept only the highest quality ingredients from carefully selected partners. Our guests will experience this purposeful approach in every bite.”

Red’s menu has been thoughtfully curated at its Cleveland, Indianapolis and Miami Beach locations. Anchored by a range of perfectly seasoned Aged Certified Angus Beef Prime steaks and imported Japanese Wagyu, Red executive chef Peter Vauthy carefully draws out succulent and unexpected flavors through his masterful preparation.

Steak isn’t the only thing that Red has mastered. Expertly prepared lobster, Alaskan King Crab, Signature veal chop and house-made pastas are also found on the extensive menu. Red’s menu is also filled with a wide range of starters such as a raw bar, Certified Angus Beef Prime steak tartare as well as generous signature sides including four cheese macaroni & cheese, green beans with pancetta and pine nuts, and truffled whipped potatoes.

Red’s award-winning wine list, specifically designed and updated for Pittsburgh by Certified Sommelier Stephanie Pack, includes a modern steakhouse wine list featuring famed producers as well as highly allocated small production wines. Red’s offerings come from some of the world’s most important wine regions around the globe, with a focus on California producers.

Located in the heart of Pittsburgh in the U.S. Steel Tower skyscraper, Red’s interior is carefully appointed, creating a chic atmosphere. The restaurant also features several stylish private dining options that can accommodate get-togethers, business meetings, special events and VIP soirees with capacities from up to 96 guests for a seated dinner to up to 125 guests for cocktails. Custom menus and an on-site event coordinator will ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
