IdeaWork Studios recently created the brand for acclaimed Chef Ricardo Zarate’s West Hollywood eatery, Rosaliné. The agency, widely recognized for their expertise in the hospitality industry, developed the logo, visual identity, and all print and collateral elements for the modern Peruvian restaurant, named after the chef’s mother. The hand-scripted logo was crafted by Jay Schwartz, founder and Chief Creative Officer of IdeaWork, as were the accompanying rose illustrations, a further homage to the namesake. “In our brand development, we carefully considered the location, the airy, contemporary venue, and of course, the food, which is what chef calls the ‘next phase of Peruvian dining.’ I understand Chef Zarate from a culinary perspective,” says Schwartz. “He is passionate and authentic, and totally unpretentious. Our work needed to reflect this. The bright pink is both unexpected and befitting. Ultimately, our branding creates a modern, fun, and personally expressive identity for Rosaliné.”
