Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced Monday that Nicolas Kurban has been named Vice President of Restaurants + Bars – East, and Scott Gingerich has been promoted to Vice President of Restaurant + Bars – West.

In these new roles, Kurban and Gingerich will run Kimpton’s locally-inspired bars and restaurants in the east and west respectively. They’ll partner with the executive chef and on-property teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and generate a profitable bottom-line for Kimpton’s 80+ restaurants and bars. Kurban and Gingerich will work closely with the SVP of Restaurants + Bars to develop key food and beverage initiatives and expand Kimpton’s international footprint.

Prior to joining Kimpton, Kurban held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Innovative Dining Group, which operates some of the most successful restaurant concepts in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Scottsdale. Previously, Kurban oversaw the food and beverage operations for all existing Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts properties as well as conceptualized the new F&B developments in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Kurban held the role of VP of Food & Beverage and Retail Operations for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa for more than five years.  He also held senior operational leadership positions with both The Thomas Keller Restaurant Group and Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group in Las Vegas.

Gingerich is no stranger to Kimpton, having previously served as Regional Vice President, Restaurants + Bars, where he was responsible for overseeing all personnel and systems to develop, renovate, operate and maintain the growing number of restaurants and bars managed by Kimpton in the Western half of the US. Prior to joining Kimpton in January 2015, Gingerich held senior leadership positions with some of the industry’s most renowned and profitable restaurant groups including Hakkasan Hospitality, Tao Group, and China Grill Management
