Forman’s Whiskey Tavern, a haven for cocktail connoisseurs in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, announced that it has partnered with Woodford Reserve Distillery to produce a proprietary, single barrel Bourbon blend, available now exclusively at the tavern.
The Woodford Master Distiller used carefully selected barrels aged in the distillery’s rickhouse to create Forman’s Reserve Bourbon, resulting in rich aromas of oak, tea leaf, dark sorghum molasses and burnt caramel mixed with light hints of smoke, dark chocolate and apple. Each bottle is branded with a custom label, reading “Forman’s Reserve.”
Speaking of Forman’s Whiskey Tavern’s new blend, ACME Hospitality Chief Operations Officer Jonny Valenti said, “We are extremely proud and excited to add our very own proprietary reserve bourbon to our distinctive whiskey selection at Forman’s Whiskey Tavern. We take our whiskey very seriously and currently offer more than 100 varieties to our guests. We’re sure we’ve created one that will quickly become a favorite among even our most discerning patrons.”
Widely known for its expansive whiskey menu and its staff’s knowledge of the spirit, Forman’s Whiskey Tavern has created two new signature cocktails featuring ingredients that complement and enhance the unique flavors of its Forman’s Reserve Bourbon: The Sequoia, with vanilla-infused Angostura bitters, rosemary-infused simple syrup and garnished with a rosemary sprig, and Ye Olde Rustic, with lemon, honey, ginger syrup, muddled strawberries, Fee Bros. Rhubarb bitters and garnished with strawberries and mint.
In addition to Forman’s Reserve Bourbon, the tavern recently added an extremely rare, limited-edition rye whiskey to its menu, Whistle Pig The Boss Hog: The Black Prince 4th Edition. The straight rye, which is aged 14 years and won Best of Show in a blind tasting at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits competition, is available for $70 per two-ounce neat pour.
