Moody Tongue Brewery (2136 S. Peoria St.), the culinary brewery from Brewmaster Jared Rouben in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, announces the release of two new beers: the Peeled Grapefruit Pilsner and an Aperitif Pilsner.

These Pilsners, which will be added to Moody Tongue’s specialty portfolio of perennial beers, will be released beginning the week of Monday, June 5. This exciting release—the first beers to be added to the brewery’s distributed portfolio in over 12 months—are suited perfectly for summer dishes about to hit restaurant menus and alongside the coming grilling season at home.

The champagne-colored Peeled Grapefruit Pilsner carries the flavors of a refreshing grapefruit sorbet alongside the aromatics of a pink grapefruit. The light, refreshing Apertif Pilsner showcases the beauty and simplicity of the well-regarded style of a traditional German Pilsner, with the aromatics of a freshly baked French baguette and flavor notes of a croissant. Summer-centric dishes, which pair exceptionally well with both Pilsners, include ceviche, grilled salmon, elote, as well as desserts like strawberry shortcake.

Moody Tongue’s Peeled Grapefruit Pilsner and Aperitif Pilsner will both be available in bottles and on draft at select retailers and restaurants, as well as in Moody Tongue’s Tasting Room. Following the Chicago launch, both Pilsners will be available in Moody Tongue’s select additional culinary markets including San Francisco, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Beijing, Louisville, Houston, and Birmingham
