Vertex China and noted culinary photographer Alan De Herrera are joining forces at the National Restaurant Show (NRA) in May to offer a groundbreaking partnership opportunity with customers and culinarians attending the show. On Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21 Alan will offer a free one hour seminar on how to take amazing food photos with only a smart phone camera. The opportunity for a chef to receive free food photography training, courtesy of Vertex® China, has never been offered before. At 2 PM on May 20 and May 21, Alan will provide hands on training on how to create the best food pictures possible using a simple phone.

Topics covered will include lighting, composition techniques and advice on how to tell your story visually via social media. After the free seminar, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss food photography one-on-one with Alan as well as participate in a Q & A session.

“I am thrilled with the prospect to share my time honed techniques with chefs everywhere” said Photographer Alan De Herrera. Furthermore, as Alan notes, “We all eat with our eyes first, and a well taken food photo will help restaurants to increase their sales and exposure online.”

Vertex China will be exhibiting at the NRA show in booth #6131. Vertex China President and CEO James Schulze says, “We are pleased to be able to give back to the culinary community by sponsoring this free seminar.”

Vertex China recognizes the importance of social media to the restaurant and culinary world and is committed to partnering in new and unique ways with the foodservice community. This free food photography class is just one of many examples.
