Cornerstone Restaurant Group announced Chef Craig Couper as Executive Chef at Michael Jordan’s Restaurant in Oak Brook. Chef Couper will continue to serve as Executive Chef at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago, and was tapped to support development on the new concept under the Michael Jordan brand umbrella, set to open this summer.

“For several years Chef Couper has crafted an exceptional dining experience at the steak house that exudes the excellence we stand for, and we are so excited to expand his position at Cornerstone Restaurant Group,” says Josh Zadikoff of Cornerstone Restaurant Group. “Michael Jordan’s Restaurant pays homage to MJ’s unparalleled drive, determination, and competitive spirit in a high energy environment, serving classic American fare with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, premium beef, and a craft beverage program led by heartfelt hospitality and attention to detail.”

Drawing inspiration from Michael Jordan’s passion for excellence, Couper continues to expand on the established foundation of excellence of the MJ brands by creating a dining experience that brings guests together through sports, refined American fare and an approachable beverage program to truly define a contemporary American bar and restaurant. In addition to a premium beef program that will house an array of cuts, from all natural to grass-fed to USDA Prime, Chef Couper’s menu highlights include Smoked Chicken Spring Rolls, Tuna Poké, Bone-in-Pork Chop Sandwich, Surf & Turf Duo, and Nutella Sundae for dessert.

Michael Jordan’s Restaurant will also feature a street side coffee bar and grab-and-go area, with premium made-to-order coffee and espresso drinks featuring Chicago’s own Metric Coffee. The quick service area will offer elevated dining and beverage options for surrounding businesses and commuters.

Michael Jordan’s Restaurant will offer flexible private dining arrangements to fit many needs from intimate business luncheons to large-scale social soirees with both banquet and conference style seating arrangements available. Groups as large as 140 can reserve the entire dining room for banquet style seating, with the largest conference arrangement seating 58 people. In the warmer months, all private parties have the option to reserve the outdoor patio, which can host 50 guests.
