Velocity Wings continues to grow as restaurant developer/operator Jim Speros announced the newest location of Velocity Wings at Wellington Station in Manassas, Virginia. This will be the fourth corporate Northern Virginia Velocity Wings restaurant, joining locations in Purcellville, South Riding, and Bristow, which have become very popular neighborhood gathering places, known for its award-winning wings and Stock Yards Angus Beef burgers.

“Since its inception, Velocity Wings has established itself as the neighborhood home of Fresh Wings, Mouth Watering Burgers and Family Fun,” says Speros, chairman and chief executive officer of Velocity Wings, LLC. “We use only the finest food sources, from locally-grown, all-natural chicken to our Stock Yards Angus Beef. At Velocity Wings, our guests enjoy all the comforts of home, with a TV in every booth, popular background music, a wide selection of craft beers. We are the destination for the entire family.”

The 145-seat restaurant will be located in the Wellington Station Center in Manassas, at the corner of Dumfries Road and Wellington Road. Giant Food is the anchor tenant at the Wellington Station Center. The property is owned by Rappaport Companies, a McLean, Virginia, based commercial real estate firm.

“Velocity Wings has always established a strong community presence in all of our neighborhoods,” Speros says. “We work closely with schools, sports teams, churches and other community groups to help them raise funds and improve the quality of life in our communities. We plan to be involved with Osbourne High School, Metz Middle School, the local elementary schools, and throughout Wellington, Hastings Run, Clover Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods.”

Velocity Wings is also growing its team, as well. “I am pleased to announce that I have been joined in this and future projects by Continental Landmark, LLC, a noted private equity firm,” Speros says. “The principals, Michael Palmisano and Jim Short, both bring a great deal of experience and success to our portfolio, and I am extremely optimistic about our continued growth and expansion with Continental Landmark as part our team.”

Speros has a goal of continuing to spread the Velocity Wings brand throughout the Northern Virginia suburbs, with planned expansion into Ashburn, Haymarket and Lovettsville. Velocity Wings has existing corporate locations in Purcellville, South Riding and Bristow.

In 2018, the company expects to begin making franchises available. Velocity Wings is a full-service restaurant and features over 25 wing sauces and flavors, and mouthwatering burgers made from Stock Yards Angus Beef.

Velocity Wings also offers a variety of fresh salads, sandwiches, appetizers and desserts. Velocity Wings is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. In 2014, Northern Virginia Magazine’s People Choice named Velocity Wings as its “King of Wings”. Velocity Wings was named in a poll by Leesburg Today as having the “Best Wings” in its 2015 “Best of Loudon” issue. Velocity Wings was honored as First Runner Up in 2016. Velocity Wings has been featured on multiple occasions in The Washington Post, Washington Business Journal and the Bristow Beat for its award-winning wings and service.

Velocity Wings’ menu has something for everyone, with “all you can eat wing nights” and “kids eat free nights”, as well as half price burger nights and daily specials.”
