Alma Nove, the celebrated Mediterranean-Italian restaurant founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg along with brothers Mark and Donnie, announced the appointment of Bob Hoppenrath as new General Manager. Hoppenrath, who previously served as General Manager at Morton’s Steakhouse in Boston’s Seaport District, will steer the operations of the restaurant and service culture in addition to playing an integral role in the growth of the brand.

“Bob has a clear vision for setting the table for an exceptional guest experience,” says Chef Wahlberg, who opened Alma Nove on the Hingham waterfront in 2010. “I trust that he will not only continue to maintain, but build Alma Nove’s reputation on the South Shore and in New England.”

“After meeting Paul, it was clear that we shared the same level of passion and enthusiasm for making guests happy,” says Hoppenrath. “I am thrilled to be joining his team of outstanding hospitality professionals and look forward to contributing to the success of Alma Nove.”

Hoppenrath will assist Wahlberg in realizing his vision for the flagship restaurant, as the team works closely together, bringing renewed energy and a fresh perspective toward enhancing the Alma Nove dining experience.

Hoppenrath joins Alma Nove with over 30 years of hospitality experience. Prior to joining the restaurant, he served as a General Manager with the Morton’s Steakhouse group overseeing operations at several of its top performing locations in Pittsburgh, Michigan and most recently in Boston’s Seaport District. In addition to Morton’s, Hoppenrath held prominent management roles with several other nationally acclaimed foodservice and hospitality leaders including ARAMARK, The Palm and Dave & Busters.
