Revel Systems, a feature-rich business platform transforming the way business is done by integrating all operations and customer channels, driven by the point-of-sale, into a single dashboard, today announced a partnership with Pacific Gateway, a leading airport retailer, to implement Revel terminals and integrate Expensify, the fastest growing expense reporting software worldwide, in select retailers and restaurants in San Jose International Airport, LaGuardia International Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (Houston).

The partnership is representative of how three leading Silicon Valley technology companies are collaborating to disrupt the airport retail industry, a traditionally slower to evolve market. Travelers expect quick service that allows them to be efficient in an environment where every minute counts.

“Our partnership with Revel and Expensify is modernizing and enhancing the travel experience. With Revel, we’re able to raise the bar in terms of user interface and system reliability. It’s maintaining our high speed of service standards since we operate extremely high volume retail concepts in very high trafficked airports around the country. By integrating Expensify, we reduce any friction or time cost our customers may have with expensing their purchases. Both companies are helping us create a seamless customer experience for business travelers,” says Joe Waller, CEO of Pacific Gateway.

Pacific Gateway operates airport locations of well known national brands like Kiehl’s, Swarovski, TUMI, Lolli and Pops, Jo Malone, See’s Candies, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Jamba Juice, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, US News & World Report, Where Traveler, The New Stand, and Peet’s Coffee. Pacific Gateway first implemented Revel terminals in 2016 in San Jose and Minneapolis St. Paul airports. The San Jose locations alone represent over $10,000,000 in annual sales.

This year, the partnership will expand to LaGuardia in high end retailers TUMI, Swarovski, and Kiehl’s, as well as Houston in TUMI, Swarovski, Adrenaline, Kiehl’s, Jo Malone, Manready Mercantile, and DR34M. They plan to convert their San Francisco airport stores to Revel over the next two years, representing 15 locations.

“The partnership with Pacific Gateway demonstrates how we’re improving travel by making it an easier and more enjoyable customer experience. We’re arming our clients with the tools to effectively improve how they run their business,” says Scott Betts, CEO of Revel Systems. “With the added benefit of Expensify, who we initially integrated with last year, end-users have the ability to easily keep track of their expenses; it’s a win-win.”
