Stephen Ochs and his business partner, former Falcons player Garrett Reynolds, unveiled plans to launch Atlanta’s first restaurant and dog park bar concept in the Old Fourth Ward. Located at the intersection of Decatur Street and Boulevard, the restaurant will include Fetch Ice House, a full-service eatery and bar, and Fetch Park, an on-site dog park bar.

Ochs and Reynolds filed for rezoning the 1.27-acre lot at 521 Daniel St. Situated one-half a mile from Krog Street Market and two-tenths of a mile from the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail Southern Extension, Fetch’s in-town location is ideal and within walking distance of several attractions in the thriving neighborhood.

“Growing up around dogs my whole life and having a boxer myself, I always felt torn between going out with friends or going to the dog park after work,” says Ochs. “Why can’t there be a spot where you could do both? Fetch is a place where you can hang out with friends on Saturday afternoon while your dog gets to socialize and play right by your side.”

Similar to a Texas-style icehouse, Fetch will incorporate rustic features, an open-air design and an outdoor shipping container bar with rooftop seating. The centerpiece of Fetch will be a signature Airstream trailer transformed into a full-service bar serving cold beer and refreshing cocktails. Amenities include a dog wash station, WiFi, on-site parking and a membership feature for Fetch Park. Through its monthly membership, Fetch Park will provide a safe, well-maintained place for dogs and dog owners to play and socialize.

“Atlanta is such an active, on-the-go city. We want to create a place where you can come as you are and enjoy being with those who matter most, including your four-legged friends,” Reynolds says.

Both Atlanta residents, Ochs and Reynolds are excited to bring a new vibe to Old Fourth Ward. Through Fetch, they hope to partner with local businesses, dog shelters and non-profits to give back to the community. Ochs is on the board of Enduring Hearts, an Atlanta-based non-profit which raises funding for pediatric heart transplant research.

Fetch is expected to break ground in August 2017.
