Farmer Brothers, a leader in foodservice coffee roasting and distribution nationwide, will debut its Centennial Blend, a new specialty coffee, this summer to celebrate the company's 100-year anniversary and honor its history of innovation and quality coffee products. The special anniversary blend of 100 percent Arabica coffee is inspired by recipes from the 1920s.

"We created the new Centennial Blend as a way to commemorate this milestone and proudly share it with our customers and their customers nationwide," says Jonathan Waite, vice president of coffee and great grandson of founder Roy Farmer. "This special blend is our contemporary interpretation of traditional Farmer Brothers recipes that this business was founded on and which have been enjoyed for years."

A key component to the blend is Kona Estate, which was a highly prized coffee both 100 years ago and today. The medium roast flavor profile boasts a smooth and balanced feel. The Centennial Blend will become a permanent addition to the wide-ranging portfolio of Farmer Brothers products in 5-pound and 2.5-ounce sizes. A special 12-ounce bag will be available for a limited time.

The Centennial Blend is now in Farmer Brothers' distribution centers nationwide and available to restuarants, hotels, casinos, healthcare facilities, convenience stores, and other foodservice operations.
