Harry Caray’s Restaurant Group (HCRG), which operates six restaurants and an off-premise catering company, will open a new eatery at Water Tower Place, one of Chicago’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment destinations, in spring 2014.

Continuing the tradition of great food and spirited sports entertainment, the new Water Tower Place venue marks the restaurant chain’s seventh location in the hometown of the larger-than-life Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame sports announcer Harry Caray. With 2014 commemorating what would have been Caray’s 100th birthday and the centennial of Chicago’s landmark Wrigley Field, the spring 2014 opening will be a cause for celebration.

“Water Tower Place is a natural spot for Harry’s,” says Grant DePorter, CEO of HCRG. “The center is iconic, much like Harry Caray himself. Our partnership with Water Tower Place is really a union of two Chicago greats.”

“The new Harry Caray’s restaurant adds to Water Tower Place’s impressive list of specialized, local offerings,” says Mitchell Feldman, senior general manager of Water Tower Place. “The 22,000-sq.-ft. space will bring a hometown feel to the seventh floor, commemorating one of Chicago’s most beloved sports icons, and offering a highly appealing dining option for our guests.”

Construction updates and information on grand opening activities will be available online at www.shopwatertower.com, as well as on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ShopWaterTower.

HCRG opened its first restaurant, Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse in Chicago’s River North neighborhood in 1987.  The restaurant has become a Chicago legend, and now offers additional locations in Rosemont and Lombard.  Also located in Lombard, adjacent to Harry Caray’s, is Holy Mackerel!, the restaurant group’s fresh seafood concept. In March 2010, HCRG opened Harry Caray’s Tavern, a more casual version of the original Harry Caray’s, at Navy Pier. AndHCRG also operates Harry Caray's at Midway Airport, the airport’s flagship restaurant.
