Multi-faceted Las Vegan P Moss combines mixology expertise with his knowledge of tiki culture in his new book, Liquid Vacation: 77 Refreshing Tropical Drinks from Frankie’s Tiki Room in Las Vegas.  Liquid Vacation is written by P Moss with original tiki drink recipes by Frankie’s bartenders Chris Andrasfay, Allison Hartling, and Mike Richardson.

P Moss is a tiki historian and acclaimed fiction author who also owns the legendary Double Down Saloons in Las Vegas and New York City as well as the wildly popular Frankie’s Tiki Room in Las Vegas.  Located just off the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, Frankie’s Tiki Room is the world’s only 24/7 tiki bar, known for its blend of Polynesian tradition with a hint of Las Vegas kitsch, welcoming ambience and delectable one-of-a-kind tropical drinks that draw tiki aficionados from all over the world.  Now these magical drinks have been poured into a book format, with 77 here-to-fore secret recipes, stunning photography, and illustrations included in the much-awaited release of Liquid Vacation.

“Liquid Vacation takes you on a voyage through golden sands, tropical sun, dancing grass skirts and swaying palms, while maintaining the untamed traditions of the Las Vegas Strip,” says P Moss.  The historical narrative behind these exotic elixirs, as told by the author, is a nostalgic romp through the origins of the Las Vegas tiki bar culture, showing direct links from gone but not forgotten iconic 1960s treasures Aku Aku and Don The Beachcomber to Frankie’s Tiki Room today.

The book also celebrates tiki art— a blend of both classic Polynesian and neo-low brow styles— and the original souvenir ceramic tiki mugs that give Frankie’s Tiki Room its quintessential tiki ambience.  In the book, P Moss aptly defines the tropical tiki cocktails as “fun drinks with extraordinarily delicious blends of flavor that will stamp anyone’s passport to the ultimate liquid vacation.”

The release of Liquid Vacation will be celebrated with a special launch party in June at Frankie’s Tiki Room in Las Vegas. The book will be available on Amazon and from major local retailers like Barnes and Noble. For more information about Moss’ books, visit PMossBooks.com.
