Double R Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the opening of Another Broken Egg Café (ABEC) on Monday, September 16th in Biltmore Park.  Ashevillians interested in a sneak preview and wishing to support three very worthy local causes, can visit ABEC for a pre-opening dining experience with all proceeds raised going to three nonprofit organizations.

  • Thursday, September 12th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. benefits Brother Wolf Animal Rescue,a No Kill organization in Asheville, North Carolina. In addition to offering services to the community including free spay/neuter assistance and a pet food pantry, BWAR operates the largest No Kill Rescue and Adoption Center in WNC, second largest in the state.
  • Friday, September 13th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. supports Reuters YMCA, an organization that builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Through its five centers, 23 childcare sites and 200-plus programs throughout the community, the YMCA positively impacts people of all ages, races, faiths and economic backgrounds.
  • Saturday, September 14th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. benefits Eblen Charities, which provides medical assistance to children, adults, and families living in the Asheville community by providing medication, medical supplies, physician and dental  visits, eye glasses and other health care needs.

The public is invited over these three exclusive dates to dine at no charge with donations being accepted for the featured nonprofits. Donations can be made via cash, check or credit card to support each event.

“We sought out charities that were very close to home for our new Another Broken Egg Café,” says Stuart Ottinger.  “Beginning our relationship with the Asheville community by supporting organizations that have already given so much to help those in need here is important to us. The care that these nonprofits provide is invaluable to this area, and we want to do our part as a good neighbor to help.”
