Shoney's is saying thank you and happy holidays again this year with its annual free Hot Fudge Cake Day, on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
Once again, the brand has offered its signature and most popular dessert at no cost and with no purchase required to its loyal fans and new guests.
"National Free Hot Fudge Cake Day has become an American tradition, and we are proud to treat our coveted regulars and new guests to this delicious Hot Fudge Cake," says Shoney's chairman and CEO David Davoudpour. "Shoney's serves more than two million Hot Fudge Cakes each year, but on Dec. 4, all day, at every Shoney's, it will be on the house."
Shoney's famous Hot Fudge Cake has been a brand staple since 1947 and has played a key role in the brand's recent resurgence. Since acquiring Shoney's in December 2006, CEO Davoudpour has been on a driven mission to return Shoney's to its glorydays, when the family-friendly, Southern-style restaurant was a premiere family, casual-dining concept in the United States.
"Our mission is to be the best family dining restaurant in America. We are a new Shoney's, better than ever, but we cherish our roots and our Hot Fudge Cake is a big part of that," Davoudpour says.
