On National Good Neighbor Day, Sunday, Sept. 28, Carolina Ale House celebrated its 2014 Good Neighbor Award from the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association (NCRLA) by thanking those who keep its neighborhoods safe.  

The staff at all the North Carolina-based Carolina Ale Houses treated local firefighters and police officers to several trays of food from the restaurant.

The company’s management group, LM Restaurants, Inc., also made a $5,000 donation to the ALS Foundation as a result of their internal Ice Bucket Challenge, in which the home office and restaurant staff participated and showed their solidarity as a company and support for a good cause.

Lastly, LM Restaurant’s corporate communications manager, Mindy Stroupe, announced that Carolina Ale House purchased 25 Devon Still jerseys in support of his daughter’s cancer treatment. Still is a defensive linesman for the Cincinnati Bengals who the team kept on its roster to ensure he had health insurance to pay for his daughter’s treatment. 

The jerseys will be given to guests as part of the Thursday Night Football Jersey Giveaway on Thursday, Nov. 6, when the Bengals play the Cleveland Browns. All proceeds from the purchased jerseys ($2,500) will benefit Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and pediatric cancer care and research.
