Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) celebrated the grand opening of its 12th restaurant concept in Columbus, Ohio.

The Guild House is located in the Short North Arts District at 624 N. High Street. The restaurant is the fourth Short North location for CMR, deepening the company’s roots in the vibrant district.

“During the past 22 years, we’ve introduced several new restaurants in Columbus and across the US,” says Cameron Mitchell, CMR founder and president. “Continuing to provide guests exceptional experiences is important to our company and this concept is in a truly unique location— a combination that Columbus hasn’t had the opportunity to be familiar with until now.”

The Guild House is an artisan eatery featuring creative American cuisine. Different from other CMR restaurants, The Guild House is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, with breakfast service beginning Jan. 21.

Executive Chef John Paul Iacobucci along with the CMR culinary development team created regionally and globally inspired menus with seasonal offerings and artistic technique. Signature items featured on The Guild House menu include:

  • Tuna Ribbons: Ahi tuna, avocado, radish, chili oil, and yuzu sesame dressing
  • Pork Cheeks: tomato gravy, spaghetti squash, and charred shishito pepper
  • Prime Rib Cap: sweet onion relish, Pointe Reyes blue cheese, and mustard vinaigrette
  • Scallops: English peas, baby carrots, parsnip puree, and orange vinaigrette
  • Seasonal Doughnuts: Pastry chef’s selection of three house-made doughnuts

Diverse wines from around the world will be served and bar chefs will craft fresh squeezed juices and spirits with skillful passion to all guests.

The Guild House is a 6,000-square foot space that seats more than 140 guests with unique dining spaces, a bar, and a private dining room for up to 10 guests. The energetic space is decorated with repurposed wood, local art, and contemporary accents, lending to The Guild House’s cosmopolitan character.

“I’m excited for our guests to relax and enjoy our perfect blend of seasonal, creative cuisine, and genuine hospitality,” says Amberlyn Heiney, general manager of The Guild House.

Located adjacent to the new boutique hotel, Le Meridien Columbus' the Joseph, The Guild House will also provide room service and banquet food for the establishment. CMR does not have joint staff with the hotel, but Heiney is working closely with the hotel’s staff to guarantee quality does not diminish.

The Guild House Artisan Partners include AJ Studios Woodworks, Blue Jacket Dairy, Dan the Baker, Gerber Farms, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Honey Run Farms, Mark Metal Works, Michael’s Meats, Old City Soda, Schlabaugh Woodworks, and Beauty & The Biker.
