Tanta, a Chicago premiere Peruvian restaurant located in the River North neighborhood, announced the launch of its new lunch program, offered Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Beginning May 2, Executive Chef Jesus Delgado creates a selection of never-before tasted Peruvian lunch dishes as part of the restaurant’s new service, which are also available for guests to enjoy on the indoor/outdoor rooftop dining space.

“We’re thrilled to offer this new dining experience for our loyal guests as well as those looking to enjoy a taste of Peru’s lively, vibrant cuisine in the afternoon,” General Manager Tomy Lokvicic says. “Especially with summer right around the corner, it’s a great way for local business professionals to escape the office and savor some sunlight on our rooftop during lunch hours.”

From salads to sandwiches and other bites in between, the following is a sample of dishes including:

  • De la Huerta: mixed field greens, cherry tomatoes, red beets, avocado, shaved radish, with an option of the aji amarillo or yogurt dressing. Guests can add roasted chicken for an additional cost.
  • Super Soltero: frisee, kale, peashoots, wheat, chickpeas, choclo, mint, queso fresco, cucumber, onions, parsley, and cilantro.
  • Caprese: black quinoa, basil pesto, burrata, baby spinach, arugula, and aji amarillo dressing.
  • Pan con Chicharrón: crispy pork belly, sweet potato, mint criolla, on a French roll.

Additionally, the restaurant plans to offer a “Peruvian Power Lunch” option, featuring a selection of prix-fixe dishes specifically catered toward business professionals with limited time constraints to get back to the office in time for their next meeting.
