Umami Burger announced the latest collaboration in its Artist Series, Mindy Kaling’s The Mindy Burgerbenefitting Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

"Mindy Kaling is a brilliant comedic talent, simultaneously fearless, sharp and approachable," says Paul Clayton, CEO of Umami Burger. "Her culinary talents have a similar sensibility. The Mindy Burger will be popular with food lovers everywhere."

The Mindy Burger features Umami Burger’s signature beef patty topped with pickled jalapeño, fried onion strings, and house-made Sriracha Aioli on Umami Burger’s signature bun. It will be available for $13 starting September 1 at participating Umami Burger locations nationwide.

Mindy Kaling adds, "I love Umami and I was so honored to be able to create my own burger. Spicy and cheesy, it reflects my own personality."

One dollar from each burger will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Pancreatic cancer is one of the nation¹s deadliest cancers, with a five-year survival rate of just 7 percent. Based in Manhattan Beach, California, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network has set a goal to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020 through research, patient support, community outreach, and advocacy for a cure.

Umami Burger was named "Burger of the Year" by GQ Magazine. Umami Burger produces all of its own condiments, cheeses, and grinds its meat in-house throughout the day. All of the beef burgers are made with hand-ground, hand-formed premium steak.
