Flagstaff House has once again been honored with the Wine Spectator Grand Award for its commitment to fine wine and its 15,000-bottle wine cellar, an award it has won every year since 1983. Flagstaff House is one of only three restaurants in the world to have earned the award for this long.

This year, 3,595 restaurants hailing from all 50 states and 71 other countries were recognized for their outstanding wine programs. The Wine Spectator Grand Award is the crown jewel for restaurants with world-class wine programs.  It is given to “restaurants that show an uncompromising, passionate devotion to the quality of their wine program,” says Wine Spectator.  “These restaurants typically offer 1,000 selections or more, and feature serious breadth of top producers, outstanding depth in mature vintages, a selection of large-format bottles, excellent harmony with the menu and superior presentation. These restaurants offer the highest level of wine service.”  This year, there are only 88 Grand Award winners worldwide.
