Propelled by positive sales growth and the success of its Evolutions store design, Huddle House breakfast franchise had a record attendance of more than 400 guests at its 2014 convention in Atlanta.

Focused on the theme "Raise the Bar," this year's event came as Huddle House is observing its Golden Anniversary and there is much to celebrate.

The iconic breakfast franchise has seen three-and-a-half consecutive years of same-store sales growth. The average ticket price has increased, driving up profit margins for franchisees, and growth of the brand is expanding beyond the South and Midwest. Inquiries are at an all-time high.

"We're extremely proud of our 50-year legacy of serving delicious, Southern, home-style meals at affordable prices," says Michael Abt, CEO of Huddle House. "We also have our eyes squarely focused on the next 50 years. We couldn't be more excited about the future of the brand.

"The response to our Evolutions store design has been overwhelmingly positive, and it's introducing Huddle House to a whole new generation of customers," Michael adds. "We're staying true to our reputation of serving small towns and cities, but we're also advancing into new markets such as New York, New Jersey, and Nebraska. We're loyal to our culinary roots in Southern cooking and hospitality, and at the same time, we're continually updating our menu with flavorful new twists."

The rapidly changing nature of customer service was a hot topic at the "Raise the Bar" convention.

"Huddle House has evolved over the past 50 years, but its dedication to making customers feel welcome, and valued, will never change," Abt said. "Every time people walk into our restaurants, anywhere in the country, we want them to know they can get whatever they want from the menu, thanks to our 'any meal, any time' philosophy. We want them to feel like family."

Based in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Huddle House has more than 400 locations across the country. The classic breakfast franchise has the goal of opening another 175 restaurants in the next five years.
