Quaker Steak & Lube, or The Lube to loyalists, announced the official grand opening of its newest restaurant, located at 1304 US Route 22, Phillipsburg, New Jersey, will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. 

Owned and operated by Lube It Up, LLC, the restaurant will bring 190 new jobs to the local economy and will be the third Quaker Steak & Lube location in the state.

In advance of opening day, The Lube will give local aficionados a sneak peak of its deep fried gold by giving away free wings to the general public on a first come, first served basis, on Thursday, Aug. 21, beginning at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., while supplies last.

"We are excited to continue our expansion of The Lube with our new Pohatcong location," says Ed Choe, president of the New Jersey-based franchise group, Lube It Up, LLC. "Our goal is to make sure everyone has the chance to recharge and refuel while having fun."

The newly built Pohatcong Lube will encompass a 7,048-square-foot design while accommodating seating for 298 people. The location also has a 2,100-square-foot brickyard outdoor patio, which will be heated for outdoor seating all year round, along with an indoor and outdoor bar. 

More than 38 HD flat-screen televisions will show all the biggest sports events and games throughout the restaurant, including the upcoming football season, which will include happy hour specials during all games.

Additionally, sports and automotive memorabilia highlights of the new Pohatcong Lube include three Harley Davidson motorcycles on display. Donated by Williams Harley Davidson in Lebanon, New Jersey, the bikes include a 2014 FLD Dyna Switchback, 2014 XL1200V Sportster Seventy-Two. and a 2014 Softail Deluxe. 

Other items include a snowmobile suspended from the ceiling, a 125cc dirt bike that will greet patrons as they enter the lobby and an inverted #2 Kurt Busch Miller Lite NASCAR hanging overhead.
