The Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), the industry’s premier leadership development organization, for the first time presented Fritzi Pikes Woods Aspire Higher Fund Scholarship Awards.
“The fund was established in September 2013 to honor and celebrate the spirit of our late president and CEO, Fritzi Pikes-Woods,” says Hattie Hill, WFF President and CEO. “Under Fritzi’s leadership, WFF made great strides in realizing the vision of becoming the premier leadership development organization for women in the foodservice industry.”
The scholarships will provide leadership development opportunities, financial assistance for leadership development programs, and mentoring to high-potential women in the foodservice industry who would not otherwise be exposed to the type of experiences and networking that WFF offers.
This year’s award recipients are:
- Carmen Cortez, owner of Carmen’s Delicious Catering
- Andrea Guzman, regional sales manager for Verde Valle Foods
- Hanna Koski, drector of the “WE Over Me Farm” at Paul Quinn College in Dallas.
