Greener Fields Together, the sustainability and local produce initiative created by the PRO*ACT produce supply-chain management company, is taking its commitment to sustainably and food safety for fresh produce to the EcoFarm 2014 Conference, January 22–25, at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, Pacific Grove, California. Greener Fields Together will host a booth at the Exhibitor Marketplace.

The conference, titled “Gather & Grow,” is presented by the Ecological Farming Association and is open to all people engaged in the food system. The goal is to keep those involved in organic and ecological farming and ranching up on the latest technology as well as systems, ideas, and perspectives for water and soil management, processing and distribution.

“EcoFarm is a great fit for Greener Fields Together, as we are dedicated to improving sustainability and food safety through our entire produce supply chain,” says Max Yeater, PRO*ACT president. “We are excited to share our successes and to gather new ideas from others as we continue to innovate and improve the sustainability of the produce that we source and sell.”

“Coming together at events like EcoFarm, to look at solutions for the supply chain as a whole, is important,” adds Kathleen Phillips, PRO*ACT Supply Chain Sustainability Manager. “It not only allows for a holistic approach but also demonstrates that we’re all in this pursuit of environmental responsibility together. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn and to share best practices.”
