TipTag announced the availability of the TipTag app for iPhone users.  TipTag gives the ability for restaurant customers to provide a private rating before leaving the restaurant.  Participating restaurants can present the reviewer a "thank you" coupon good for return visits to the restaurant.  Restaurant owners can now get valuable feedback and take action without the worry of postings hitting public sites that could negatively affect the restaurant.

"TipTag represents a new paradigm in ratings logic because we do not publicly post these ratings" says Stephen Cork, CEO of TipTag, "by allowing users to provide private comments, the owners can take necessary action(s) to improve.  We have re-created the old fashion comment card–but in real time, leveraging technology, and providing a thank you to customers."

Many restaurant customers have opinions but are reluctant to post in a public fashion.  The TipTag app gives them an anonymous voice to help the restaurant owner. As an incentive, participating restaurants can provide a coupon for future visits that is saved to the review's phone.  The system is very simple with 5 key questions and an optional comment section.  Users do not have to enter long frustrating codes or email addresses.  TipTag utilizes location technology and the ratings are done before leaving the restaurant.
