Campari America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A., announced the appointment of Roy Danis as its new managing director. Overseeing day-to-day operations for Gruppo Campari’s U.S., Canadian and Puerto Rican business, Danis will report directly to Gerry Ruvo, managing director Campari BU North America.
Danis is an experienced veteran in the beverage alcohol beverage industry, having held multiple leadership positions in sales, marketing, and operations at such companies as Diageo, Pernod Ricard, The Seagram Company, and W.J. Deutsch & Sons, LTD. Most recently Danis served as the managing director of North America for Jose Cuervo International.
“Roy’s more than 33 years of industry experience will immediately reap benefits for our expanding business in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico,” says Gerry Ruvo, chairman and CEO, Campari America.
Danis begins his role with Campari America in December and will be based at the Campari America headquarters in San Francisco.
