Twin Peaks Restaurants today announced the company has signed a multi-unit development agreement to open its first locations in Mississippi.

Restaurant veteran Brad Smith has signed a franchise agreement to open four Twin Peaks restaurants. With 23 locations in 10 states, Twin Peaks is the ultimate man cave concept, known for its rugged mountain lodge atmosphere, house-made comfort food, 29 degree draft beer, hi-definition televisions, sports programming, and its most prized assets–the Twin Peaks Girls.

Smith plans to open four restaurants in Mississippi, including locations in Jackson, Hattiesburg, and the Gulf Coast.

“Mississippi is an untapped market for Twin Peaks,” says Smith. “I’m so excited to have the opportunity to get involved with Twin Peaks in its early stages and open restaurants all across the state. When you add 29-degree beer, great comfort food, top-notch service, and the friendly and attentive Twin Peaks Girls, this is certainly a place that has the right recipe for success.”

Smith, who spent much of his childhood in Hattiesburg and still has family in the area, also operates VooDoo BBQ in Baton Rouge. He says his passion for the restaurant business and ties to the state make him the ideal franchisee to introduce Mississippi to Twin Peaks.

“I know Twin Peaks will be a big hit with fans in Mississippi,” Smith says. “I opened a VooDoo BBQ in Baton Rouge in 2008, and I’m looking for my next big adventure. I found it with Twin Peaks.”

Once Smith learned about Twin Peaks, he visited other locations, including one in Baton Rouge. After seeing fans’ excitement and the popularity of the restaurant, he knew he had to jump on the opportunity.
