The National Council of Chain Restaurants today issued the following statement from Executive Director Rob Green in support of H.R. 9, the Small Business Tax Cut Act of 2012, sponsored by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.

“The National Council of Chain Restaurants is pleased to support the Small Business Tax Cut Act,” Green says.“This legislation would provide a helpful boost to the economy at this critical stage and help America’s job creators–our small business owners–grow and expand their operations. The chain restaurant industry is a key provider of jobs, training, and opportunity for millions of Americans.

"With small businesses accounting for the vast majority of all new jobs created in the United States each year, NCCR believes federal policy should foster a climate favorable to small business owners and the jobs they create. This legislation would accomplish that goal by helping expand the availability of capital and investment resources.”

The National Council of Chain Restaurants is the leading trade association exclusively representing chain restaurant companies. For more than 40 years, NCCR has worked to advance sound public policy that best serves the interests of both chain restaurants and the millions of people they employ. NCCR members include some of the country’s largest and most respected quick-serve and casual dining companies. The National Council of Chain Restaurants is a division of the National Retail Federation, the world's largest retail trade group. www.nccr.net
