LongHorn Steakhouse has opened its third location in the Rochester , N.Y.,  area, and its first in McAllen, Texas.

The 5,000-square foot New York restaurant will employ more than 80 and seat more than 200 guests. Steve Poletta, a restaurant industry veteran of 10 years, will serve as managing partner.

The Texas restaurant is slightly larger, at 6,300 square feet and will employ more than 80 employees and seat more than 240 guests. Angel Rodriguez, a restaurant industry veteran of 19 years, will be managing partner.

As part of the restaurants’ pre-opening training period, they hosted Friends and Family nights that helped raise, respectively, more than $2,000 for the Boys and Girls Club and more than $1,500 for the Easter Seals of the Rio Grande Valley.

LongHorn opened its first restaurant in Atlanta 29 years ago and has grown steadily, becoming known for its passion for grilling fresh, never frozen, steaks served in a relaxed, comfortable steakhouse atmosphere.
