Three time James Beard Award nominated chef, restaurateur and head of Goode Company Restaurants Levi Goode is accepting applications for the Executive Chef position for his first restaurant under his own personal brand: Credence. The fine dining restaurant is inspired by Levi’s family recipes, cooking with his grandmother and father, hunting and live-fire cooking, his travels, his education and his twenty plus years at the helm of the popular Goode Company Restaurants in Houston. Credence is expected to open in Summer 2024.
As Executive Chef, responsibilities include owning team leadership, communication, training, development, and problem resolution. The Executive Chef will also need to apply knowledge of food industry trends and classical cooking to create an innovative, seasonal menu. Some benefits of the position include generous PTO, medical benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, complimentary meals and food, beverage and merchandise discounts from any Goode Co. location and more.
While the spirit of Credence takes cues from luxury Texas ranch life and classic European techniques, the cooking revolves around an open wood-fire hearth and wood-burning oven designed by Levi himself. From caviar to pan de campo, the menu features genteel club classics with a playful Texas twist—an emphasis on fresh seafood and indigenous ingredients that celebrate the regional South.
