Returning for its 13th season from November 13 to 20, the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival features more than 60 citywide luxury wine and food events held in locations throughout San Diego.

As the West Coast's premier showcase of wine, beer, spirits, and gourmet foods, the weeklong epicurean experience celebrates San Diego's vibrant culinary community through wine and cooking classes, celebrity chef dinners, and multiple tasting events ranging from lessons in mixology to a rough and tumble fish taco competition. San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival co-producer Michelle Metter says to expect an exciting selection of celebrity chefs and new events added to this year's lineup.

"A hub for culinary tourism, San Diego is home to some of the nation's finest breweries, restaurants, chefs and sommeliers," Metter says. "We are thrilled to once again welcome an anticipated 10,000 eager enthusiasts to San Diego to indulge in the epicurean experience of a lifetime, all while taking in the city's finest flavors, chefs, vistas, and locales."

Festival classic, the legendary Lexus Grand Tasting, transforms the picturesque San Diego Bay into a food lover's paradise on November 19. The 13th annual Grand Tasting, features 150 wineries, breweries and sprits from around the world, 60 local restaurants plus dozens of gourmet food companies, and the "Chef of the Fest Competition" where San Diego's best chefs battle head-to-head in a fierce culinary competition judged by the San Diego Chapter of the American Culinary Federation along with food critics and celebrity chef judges.

After a successful launch in 2015, SommCon, a Southern California conference and educational summit for wine, beer, and spirit industry professionals and serious enthusiasts returns to the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, November 16—19. Bringing together some of the industry's greatest thought leaders, entrepreneurs and artisans to discuss, develop and lead the conversation on the business of wine, attendees learn and taste their way through keynote sessions and educational classes complete with a trade-only tasting and expo.

The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival benefits culinary arts and oenology scholarships awarded by Fast Forward Futures and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. To date, more than $350,000 in scholarships has been awarded to students enrolled in full-time or continuing education programs.
