Kings Bowl Partners with Boston’s Max & Leo’s in New Lincoln Park Location

Kings Bowl, an expansive bowling, dining, and cocktail venue opening in Lincoln Park, Chicago’s, highly anticipated NEWCITY development November 2, has partnered with Boston’s award-winning artisan pizza restaurant Max & Leo’s to open a pizza lounge within the venue. The lounge will offer guests Max & Leo’s highly acclaimed coal-fired pizza and wings along with a craft cocktail bar featuring a wide selection of bourbons, whiskies, and craft beers. The partnership will bring an experience to Kings’ Lincoln Park location that is unique from other Kings’ locations across the country.

Since twin brothers Max & Leo Candidus opened the original Max & Leo’s location in 2011, the restaurant has quickly become a must-visit destination for pizza lovers in Boston.

“Chicago is best known for its amazing deep dish pizza and our goal is to bring a different pizza experience to this world class city,” Kings founder Patrick Lyons says. “To do so, we’ve partnered with the most highly acclaimed artisan pizza specialists from our hometown. The unique flavor of Max & Leo’s innovative pizza toppings coupled with the distinctive taste of the char crust that can only be achieved in the 900-degree coal-burning oven is something that will truly excite Chicago foodies.”

Max & Leo’s will offer variety of 15-inch pizzas, affordably priced between $15 and $18 each. Sized for sharing, each pizza has a fire-blistered crust that can only be attained in the coal-fired oven. As the pizzas enter the custom built oven, they instantly develop a unique flavor-packed char that makes the pizzas and wings “well done.”  A big advantage to cooking with coal is that it burns hotter, cleaner, and dryer than a traditional wood-fired oven.

Max & Leo’s signature pizza, the L’Umina is an olive oil-based pizza with sliced roasted pears, caramelized onions, basil, and ricotta cheese topped with prosciutto and a drizzle of organic wildflower honey. In addition to its delectable pizzas, other highlights to the Max & Leo’s menu include coal-fired wings, specialty nachos, and fresh salads.

Kings Bowl Lincoln Park will feature another full-service restaurant in its main room, along with 16 10-pin bowling lanes, an 80-foot bar, game room, and an upscale lounge.
