Kobe Bussan Group will open ShabuShabu Kobe Midtown, one of the largest Japanese restaurants in New York, at 3W 36th St. Manhattan at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2014.

Kobe Bussan Group operates Japan's largest supermarket franchise chain Business-Oriented Supermarkets with about 680 stores selling food ingredients for professional use and also runs about 800 restaurants. Taking great pride in providing authentic Japanese food, a highly healthy food with well-balanced nutrition, the company is now moving to offer Japanese food to people around the world.

With a floor space of 6,100 square feet, ShabuShabu Kobe Midtown is a large-scale Japanese restaurant with about 200 seats. Its walls will be decorated with pieces of art by noted Japanese calligrapher Rihaku Inoue.

Washoku, or Japanese food, uses various healthy ingredients, treasures the delicacy of five senses and handmade taste, and is cooked in such a way that calories is held low and vitamin made easier to absorb. This is the kind of authentic Japanese food to be served to the customers of ShabuShabu Kobe Midtown.

Due to a delay in obtaining an official permit, the opening date changed from the originally set Sept. 17 to Oct. 8.
