The National Honey Board is pleased to announce its first-ever Honey Innovation Awards, recognizing honey-menuing innovation in the foodservice industry. Food and beverage professionals are invited to submit their original, most innovative, honey-inspired menu items. Two winners each ($1,000 Grand Prize and $500 Runner Up) will be selected in the Food and Beverage categories, for four 2014 Honey Innovation Awards. To qualify, the food and beverage items must be featured on the operator's menu for at least one week between January 1 and May 1, 2014. The deadline for submissions is June 1. Winners will be notified in July and announced in September 2014 (National Honey Month). Please see www.honey.com for contest details, rules and entry form.
“We are always excited to learn how chefs and mixologists are using honey on their menus,” says Catherine Barry, director of Marketing for National Honey Board. “The Honey Innovation Awards are not only intended to inspire menu innovation, but also to capture and inform us about the creative ways industry professionals are using honey to elevate their food and beverage offerings.”
