Chianina Steakhouse, Michael's Restaurant Group's 80-seat, boutique Italian steakhouse was named one of America's best steakhouse by Gayot.com. The award is a latest recognition for the already highly acclaimed restaurant, which also boasts such industry-coveted honors as one of Zagat's best LA steakhouses and best LA restaurants.

The article calls Chianina an "upscale boutique steakhouse named after the Italian breed of cattle originally used for Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Michael's Restaurant Group (Michael's on Naples Ristorante, Michael's Pizzeria, Working Class Kitchen) teamed up with a domestic rancher to raise its own Chianina herd, which provides an exclusive source of high-quality beef."

"Chianina is happy to be recognized once more as one of the nation's top steakhouses." says Michael Dene, Michael's Restaurant Group owner. "We take a great deal of pride in every piece of steak that we serve and our consistent achievements as an outstanding steakhouse serve as testament to the quality of Chianina beef."

Chianina first opened its doors to the Long Beach food scene in December 2013 and has quickly become a Southern California Mecca of steak as one of the only U.S. restaurants to provide Chianina beef. The steakhouse is open nightly from Tuesday to Sunday; however, due to shipments and preparation, the supply of meat can be limited depending on the timing of the visit.
