Fifth Group Restaurants, owner and operator of restaurants South City Kitchen, Midtown, South City Kitchen, Vinings, La Tavola Trattoria, Ecco, The Original ElTaco, Lure and Alma Cocina and special events and catering company Bold American Events, was recently named to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

Fifth Group Restaurants’ three-year sales growth from 2009 to 2012 of 75 percent earned the company a ranking of 3807 on the list. The company achieved this growth by increasing internal organic sales at each of its restaurants, the acquisition and growth of Event Design Group and opening Alma Cocina and Lure.

“We are honored to be included in the Inc. 5000,” says Robby Kukler, partner. “This recognition is in large part due to our team’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to continued improvement resulting in our catering company and many of our restaurants having their best years ever. This absolutely motivates us to continue to create new ways to grow and develop our brand.”

The Inc. 5000 represents the most comprehensive look at an important segment of the economy. America’s independent entrepreneurs, Fuhu tops this year’s list as Fifth Group Restaurants joins other prominent brands featured including, LivingSocial, Edible arrangements, CDW, and Lifelock.

“These businesses make and keep American companies competitive: Within their niches, they are as innovative and service oriented as the most beloved household names,” says Leigh Buchanan, Inc. magazine’s editor at large. But rather than strategize to build brands, they earn reputations simply by virtue of how well they do what they do.
