Troy Guard (Owner and Executive Chef of TAG Restaurant Group) announced an exclusive Summer Omakase at Guard and Grace, his award-winning modern steakhouse in downtown Denver. The intimate eight-course Omakase Dinner on August 30, 2023, will include elevated cuisine featuring premium late-summer ingredients sourced from local and regional producers to create a unique and innovative dining experience.

“I haven’t thrown down in a while and Summer is the perfect time to unleash the full force of seasonal ingredients with an exclusive Omakase. I’m tapping into my Hawaiian and Asian influences while harnessing the power of local produce and the freshest seafood. With only twenty tickets available, this is a badass eight course dinner that you don’t want to miss. Brace yourself for an awesome journey through summer flavors!”

Tickets to the Summer Omakase are reservation-only and limited to a total of 20 guests during two seatings. Guests will be treated to  a front row view of Guard masterfully creating their dishes behind the Guard and Grace raw bar. In the spirit of a traditional Omakase, the lucky guests have the unique opportunity to tell Chef Guard, “I leave it up to you,” and put their dining experience fully in the hands of the Chef as he takes them on a culinary journey, exploring the bounty of summer and highlighting the quality of local meats and fresh imported seafood.

Guard has made a name for himself as a chef in Denver and nationally, often credited with helping put Denver’s culinary scene on the map with his bold flavors and innovative dishes, utilizing authentic and imported ingredients and applying techniques and influences from his Hawaiian upbringing and culinary journey, including stints working in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Guard has received numerous accolades during his decades long career as a chef including, most recently, Bar & Restaurant Expo’s Chef of the Year, Top 50 Independent Restaurants, Best Steakhouses in Denver, #12 Best Steakhouse in America, #16 Best Steakhouse in the World and Best Seafood in Denver.
