Doma Kitchen Moves to Polished Indoor Space

Doma Kitchen, once a local favorite in Redondo Beach, California, with menu items such as signature Belgian waffles and Eastern European-inspired dishes including homemade Borscht, Lagman, and Lamb Plov, has traded in its casual beach vibe digs for a more polished space in Manhattan Beach. While Doma Kitchen's original brick and mortar was in Redondo Beach, back in October they closed their quaint cafe for a larger indoor space. Owners Angie Corrente and Stan Mayzalis along with chef Kristina Miksyte are excited to bring their traditional cuisine and new dishes to a brand new space and neighborhood.

Chef Kristina will be slowly adding new dishes to the menu in the upcoming weeks. A couple of new items to look out for will be grilled shashlik, a form of Shish kebab popular in Eastern and Central Europe, using a variety of meats including lamb and chicken. For dessert, zeppoles—which are Italian fritters with Ricotta cheese—will be served with house-made chocolate sauce.

Doma has also stepped up their coffee game in a major way. Doma will be the very first place in Los Angeles to serve Red Bay Coffee. Red Bay Coffee is a quality-focused roaster of fine coffee, based in the Fruitvale district of Oakland, California, which was founded in 2014 by Keba Konte a successful food entrepreneur with 10 years experience in the specialty coffee and hospitality industry.
Doma will also be one of the very few places serving traditional Turkish coffee using a sand method technique. Turkish sand coffee uses a hot bed of sand to heat the coffee. Once filled with water and coffee grounds, the pots are nestled a couple inches deep into the hot sand.
"We are truly excited to be in Manhattan Beach and can't wait to begin this new chapter in such an amazing neighborhood. Our entire team has put so much work into making this new location a reality," says owner, Angie Corrente.
