Convotherm Introduces easyToUCH System, New Oven Design, and "Smoking" Option

 

Convotherm introduces easyToUCH electronic touch pad system, a new mini combi oven design, and new “smoking” option for combi ovens.

Convotherm’s easyToUCH user-friendly electronic touch pad system is designed to help simplify cooking operations. Large, easy-to-read colorful graphics help staff navigate through desired menus. A visual help mode with operating instructions and a service diagnostic mode quickly offer onsite help should problems occur.

The easyToUCH system does not require any special or additional tooling and supports standard Windows CE platform. You can also automatically receive software updates via the Internet too. A USB connection is included for easy up and downloading of programs and recipes.

Convotherm’s easySystem allows for central control of menu planning over several branches. Menu access is limited to only recipes approved by authorized personnel. Patented simultaneous cooking allows you to cook different products in “groups” at the same time without flavor transfer.

Convotherm’s easyService offers clear text display of error messages – unnecessary service costs are avoided because technicians can source the needed spare parts prior to any onsite service call. Cooking processes are recorded automatically via HACCP software.

Energy efficient ecoCooking technology is suited for products that have a longer cook time such as roast beef, meat loaf, and large joints of meat. Apart from saving energy, there is also a significant increase in the quality of the food. Meat is more tender and doesn’t lose any weight. Convotherm’s ecoCooking system uses up to 25 percent less energy than other systems.

Convotherm also introduces an updated mini combi oven with a new brilliant design. The new design features higher polished stainless steel for front of the house brilliance. A larger window on the oven door makes it easy to see the product being cooked. The small footprint, the ease of operation, and the wide range of cooking options deliver maximum performance within a limited amount of floor space. The mini combi oven comes equipped in two in 6 and 10 pan capacities. The 6-pan mini can be stacked for separate cooking chambers allowing foods to be prepared simultaneously using different cooking methods. Both chambers are easily controlled with just a few simple entries on the keypad using Convotherm’s easyToUCH technology.

The ConvoSmoker combi oven provides all the benefits of smoke-flavored foods without having to purchase a separate smoker oven. Ideal for fish, beef, pork, poultry, cheese, and vegetables, the unit has the ability to do both cold and hot smoking in addition to smoke roasting or commonly referred to as "barbequing" or "pit roasting". Hot Smoking is accomplished in a two-step recipe process and exposes the foods to smoke and heat in a controlled environment and often reheated. For more delicate products, Cold Smoking can be achieved in a Convotherm combi simply by placing a 4" solid pan filled with ice directly above smoke box before smoking begins. This is ideal for cold salmon, lox, cheese and vegetables.
