With its original location based in Jacksonville, Florida, and the bulk of its restaurants in the Sunshine State, Woody’s Bar-B-Q returns its focus to its hometown with its newest franchise in the East Beltway area. Located at 8129 Point Meadows Way near I-295 and Baymeadows Road, Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway marks the third location for multi-franchisee Jack Dunsmoor – who also boasts highly successful Woody’s Bar-B-Q franchises in Macclenny and Powers Avenue in Jacksonville. Set to open in mid-June 2018, Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway will be hard to miss thanks to a large sign that is visible from the highway and a primo location near the shops, restaurants and hotels at the 9B loop.

“At three locations strong, I’ve been able to witness on a daily basis how Woody’s food brings people together,” says Dunsmoor. “I’m excited about all of the growth and development in this area and look forward to introducing even more Jacksonville residents and visitors to Woody’s Bar-B-Q with this newest location. Old fans can expect the same quality food and amazing customer service, but we believe they’ll be pleasantly surprised by the high caliber dining experience that Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway will offer our guests.”

Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway is a free-standing, full-service location that boasts upscale additions in place of much of the Southern “kitsch” décor for which many Woody’s Bar-B-Q locations are so well-known. After listening to his customers’ suggestions, Dunsmoor has pulled out all the stops and patrons of his newest location can expect to see things like marble bar tops, wood flooring, 3” thick tabletops, new plate ware and lighting. He claims it will be unlike any other Woody’s Bar-B-Q location and hopes it will start a trend for future locations as the nearly 40-year-old brand continues to evolve.

“Jack has excellent instincts when it comes to running a successful restaurant,” says Yolanda Mills-Mawman, president and COO for Woody’s Bar-B-Q Franchise Holdings, Inc. “We are delighted to expand our presence here in our hometown of Jacksonville and Jack is the right person to do that. His attention to detail where the customer experience is concerned is second to none, and we believe this new location will set a shining example for others to follow in the years to come.”

In addition to an amped up interior, Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway will offer its patrons a full bar, curbside to go, online ordering, catering and daily food and beverage specials such as Kids Eat Free Mondays and $2-pint specials for a revolving menu of draft beers on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Business hours for the new Woody’s Bar-B-Q location in Jacksonville will be Sundays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

To stay up-to-date on the opening of Woody’s Bar-B-Q at East Beltway, as well as upcoming events and specials, prospective patrons of the chain’s newest location are encouraged to like “Woody’s Bar B Q Eastbeltway” on Facebook. Later this summer, Woody’s Bar-B-Q plans to open a new location in Yonkers, New York with several more franchise openings in Florida scheduled in the coming months including Orlando, Lehigh Acres and two locations in Fort Lauderdale.
