Since 1993, the non-profit organization Women Chefs and Restaurateurs has worked to promote and enhance the education, advancement, and connection of women in hospitality worldwide through scholarships, mentoring opportunities, and its annual conference.

Returning to New York City, the 2015 conference will introduce a milestone with its first International Culinary Talent Talk. Taking place on stage at the Hudson Theater April 20, the TED Talk meets poetry-slam session will serve as a platform for four successful chefs from across the globe to tell their stories.

Each will offer a unique perspective on the conference theme of “Taking A Bigger Bite Out Of Your Career.” The line-up of speakers includes:

  • Rachel Pol: Chef/TV personality (Panama)
  • Semsa Denizsel: Chef/owner, Kantin Restaurant & Shop (Istanbul, Turkey)
  • Trine Hahnemann: Chef/food writer (Denmark)
  • Diane Kochilas: Author/collaborating chef, Molyvos (Greece)

The 22nd annual conference, held April 18 to 20, will feature three days of seminars, demos, parties, and competitions, as well as celebrate its current host city with tastings, classes, and tours.
