For the second consecutive year, Tiamo, an Italian wine brand made from organically farmed grapes imported by Illinois-based Winesellers, Ltd., has been awarded the prestigious IMPACT “Hot Prospect” from M. Shanken Communications, Inc. for 2016. The achievement is based on multi-year sales growth and performance in the U.S. market and follows the brand’s recognition in 2015.

“Tiamo is an innovating and modern brand that is constantly creating exciting varieties that showcase the rich diversity of Italian wines,” says Jordan Sager, VP of Winesellers, Ltd. “We are truly honored to receive this accolade for a second consecutive year and look forward to the continued growth of Tiamo.”

The esteemed recognition spotlights brands with at least 15% depletion growth in the previous year and consistent growth in the preceding two years. Brands must sell at least 50,000 cases to qualify, but not exceed 250,000 cases sold.

Tiamo, a partnership between Winesellers, Ltd. and Master Wines (Melvyn, Janie and Charles Master), is an innovative brand geared towards modern wine consumers and trend-setting retailers and restaurants. The sparkling and white selections include an elegant Prosecco D.O.C. (750ml $15/187ml $5), a crisp, but fruit-forward Venezia D.O.C. Pinot Grigio ($12), and a bright and fresh Grillo ($11) from Sicily. For reds, the brand includes a beautiful, single estate Chianti D.O.C.G. ($12 SRP) from Montespertoli and a light, but fruit driven Barbera ($11) from Pavia, Lombardy. The Pinot Grigio, Grillo and Barbera are also available in 20 liter kegs for on- premise wine on tap. The brand also recently released a line of organic canned white, rosé, and red wines which is available in 375ml cans in four packs with an SRP of $19.99 or individually at $4.99 a can.
