On Sunday, October 14, The Wine Feed teamed up with Dock to Door Seafood to host a North Carolina seafood and wine festival in downtown Raleigh. The sold-out event, "Hook + Vine," gathered 150 food and wine lovers to celebrate N.C. seafood and outstanding complementary wines.

During the festival, local culinary experts from Mandolin, PoshNosh, Battistella's, Sarah Cecilia Good Food Co. and Organics and Sounds, presented five tastes of local seafood, each paired with a thoughtful pour from The Wine Feed’s extensive offerings.

Guests enjoyed a relaxing fair-alternative while sampling inspired flavors and listening to the tunes of Motown. Dishes featured flavors and options ranging from wild, sustainable ocean species to classics such as shrimp and flounder.
Here’s a look at the culinary lineup:

  • PoshNosh—Seafood bisque with backfin crab and flounder paired with Jean Bourdy Cremant du Jura

  • Sarah Cecilia Good Food Co.—Black drum curry of sweet corn, ginger and coconut milk with jasmine rice paired with Bodega Colome Torrontes

  • Organics and Sounds—Herbed flounder with millet and sauteed vegetables paired with Domaine de la Garreliere Cendrillon
