The Williams Inn recently welcomed Peter Belmonte as Executive Chef for the inn and its restaurant, The Barn Kitchen & Bar in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

As Executive Chef, Belmonte is responsible for managing all aspects of the inn’s culinary operations including the 62-seat restaurant, a bar, and event spaces. Belmonte is a graduate of New York Restaurant School and brings more than 20 years of experience as an Executive Chef at award-winning restaurants and inns such as the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts. He joins The Barn from his most recent position with Life-House Hotels Lenox Collection in Lenox, Massachusetts where he was responsible for the culinary programs for The Church Street Inn, Ophelia’s Restaurant, Rookwood Inn, and Birchwood Inn.

“We are very pleased to welcome Peter to The Williams Inn and The Barn,” commented Mark Graham, General Manager. “I am confident that Peter’s strong culinary, interpersonal, and organizational skills will allow him to excel in his new role.”

As one of his first initiatives, Chef Belmonte has introduced new menus that entwine local flavors with his culinary expertise including featured dishes such as Housemade Classic Hummus, Fresh Ramen with classic accompaniments, and New England favorites like Fish & Chips. Chef Belmonte was inspired by taking global inspiration from favorite dishes and adding a personal twist. He has created a menu that uses locally sourced and sustainable menu items to support our local farms and vendors.
