Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, a neighborhood restaurant known for its locally sourced, farm-fresh American food and garden-to-glass cocktails, will open in The Woodlands on Tuesday, September 8.
Located at 27800 N. Freeway Service Road, The Woodlands’ first Whiskey Cake will celebrate its grand opening by donating 50% of opening day sales to Junior League of The Woodlands – a local organization of women dedicated to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and supporting communities through the service and leadership of trained volunteers.
“We are thrilled to open in The Woodlands and share our farm-to-kitchen dishes with more of the Houston area,” says Whiskey Cake president and COO Ray Risley. “Being good stewards of the local community is at the core of our brand, so we’re honored to support local artisans through menu sourcing and Junior League of The Woodlands on opening day.”
Whiskey Cake is renowned for serving up farm-to-fork dishes and garden-to-glass cocktails out of its scratch kitchen and bar; in other words, familiar American food that has been revved up a notch. Microwave? Never heard of it. Whiskey Cake uses slow-cooking methods on a live wood grill, smoker and spit because everything tastes better that way. Guests at the new Whiskey Cake restaurant will have the opportunity to enjoy brunch favorites, including Bacon-Jalapeño Drop Biscuits, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and Whiskey Braised Short Rib Hash every weekend. Then, indulge in Local Goat Cheese Fondue, Deviled Eggs, Rotisserie Farm Bird, Garlic Grilled Ribeye, and more for lunch and dinner.
In addition to offering delicious dishes, Whiskey Cake’s energetic bartenders hand-make whiskey cocktails and bold elixirs from premium liquors and fresh ingredients picked straight from their on-site garden. Whiskey Cake also offers 350 different whiskeys and a wide selection of micro-brewed beers and curated wines. Choose from a variety of cocktails, like the Guava Gimlet, Tennessee Stud and The Great Escape, or try several with Whiskey Cake’s renowned Whiskey Flights.
Whiskey Cake in The Woodlands will be open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 3-10 p.m. and Friday from 3-11 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, brunch will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., then will serve dinner Saturday from 3-11 p.m. and Sunday from 3-9 p.m.
The health and safety of its guests and team members is Whiskey Cake’s utmost priority. The farm-to-fork restaurant has implemented enhanced sanitization standards and processes and will continue to adhere to all federal, state and local guidelines.
