Franchise brands are targeting the West for expansion—creating countless career opportunities on a national level.

The West Coast Franchise Expo (WCFE), hosted by Paramus, New Jersey–based MFV Expositions, is the largest franchise event on the West Coast and will take place October 12–14 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The WCFE is the prime place to explore viable business investments and speak with top-level executives about turning a career around—even in recessionary times.

“There will be automotive aftermarket brands such as Meineke Car Care Centers; privately held staffing firm Express Employment Professionals; new and hot concepts like Bottle & Bottega (wine and art) and Hypoxi (a studio for weight loss via a new European method); and the ever-popular food concepts like Submarina California Subs and Papa Murphy’s,” says Tom Portesy, MFV Expositions president.

“Attendees can visit a range of exhibitors that suit their career backgrounds, interests, and lifestyles,” he says. “Not to mention, attendees can speak with top executives at big brands and take advantage of free informational seminars, as well as participate in great giveaways.”

Portesy continues, “We had a great run hosting WCFE in Los Angeles for eight years, but it’s important to keep the Expo fresh and continue to attract new visitors ready to start their own businesses.

“In September 2010, as the economy began to recover, Orange County became the first metropolitan area in the state to post positive year-over-year job growth,” he says. “The county currently has the lowest unemployment rate in Southern California. Orange County’s economy will continue to expand in 2012 with all major private industry sectors adding jobs. We’re excited about bringing the event to Anaheim and contribute to the growth of small business in California and throughout the West.”

Attending a franchise exposition is a valuable opportunity to view and compare franchise possibilities that appeal to a variety of backgrounds and interests.

In addition to hundreds of exhibitors, there will be more than 30 information-packed seminars and symposia available, and most of the sessions are free.
