Walnut Grill, a popular full-service eatery with locations in Sunset Hills, Chesterfield, Ellisville and O’Fallen, will celebrate its first-annual Spiedini Fest this October. The occasion will feature an exclusive menu all month with the addition of six new Spiedini dishes.

This well-known tradition has been a St. Louis favorite since the late 1980s. Spiedini, derived from the Italian phrase for skewered meat, is one of the most sought-after menu items at all four Walnut Grill locations.

“We have had spiedini, specifically chicken spiedini, on our menus for many years and it is one of the most requested dishes,” says Eric Vogel, local owner of the Walnut Grill restaurants. “And because of its popularity, we wanted to showcase our chef’s imagination and expand our menus to include a variety of meat options for the Spiedini Fest, what we hope will be an annual event.

The expanded menu offers a variety of Spiedini items, such as the Chicken Spiedini, Walnut Grill’s number one selling item, Chicken Spiedini Florentine, Chicken Spiedini Prosciutto, Veal Spiedini Prosciutto, along with Spiedini dishes of Beef, Shrimp and Swordfish. And, hungry diners can choose from the Chicken Spiedini Trio, which includes one of each of the Chicken Spiedini dishes along with Linguini Marinara. All dishes come with your choice of a garden or Caesar salad and range from $23-28.

Walnut Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and offers delivery and takeout, as well as options for private dinners and catering events.
